SITRA is an Industry sponsored research institute supported by the Ministry of Textiles , Government of India. 5. He was the Ministry of Textiles , with cabinet rank, for India in UPA Government from 17 June 2013. 6. It is one of the six textile engineering colleges which are directly controlled by Ministry of Textiles & Jute, Bangladesh. 7. It is one of the five textile engineering colleges which are directly controlled by Ministry of Textiles & Jute, Bangladesh. 8. The Textile Engineering College operates under the administrative control of the Department of Textiles of the Ministry of Textile & Jute. 9. National Institute of Fashion Technology was set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles , Government of India. 10. The school has partnership between the " Bangladesh Textile Mills Association " and the Government of Bangladesh Ministry of Textiles and Jute.
